The Sanderson Sisters Hut Set won the Lego!
The Lego Company has announced the results of the third phase of the 2021 review. It considered 36 author’s models, selected by an open vote of 10 thousand votes of site visitors. LEGO Ideas.
An authoritative jury of designers and specialists from the Danish construction kit manufacturer announced just one of them as the future official set: Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cabin. This buildable toy features the hut of the three witches Winifred, Sarah and Mary, based on the 1993 Disney movie Hocus Pocus. By the way, its continuation is expected at the end of September this year. The author of the “brick” project is a fan designer under the nickname TheAmbrinator.
The remaining 35 projects were unequivocally rejected by the jury, without even transferring any of them, as happened before, to the next stage of the review. That is, their authors will again be selected on a general basis through the LEGO Ideas website. However, not a bad way out, especially considering that the current winner of the idea contest went exactly that way. In 2021, he was also rejected by the jury, so he won only on the second attempt.
When the selected project appears on the shelves of toy stores as an official designer Lego‘ is still unknown.
