The only copy of the Mandalorian cruiser from Lego
The Danish company produced and continues to produce a large number of designers with aircraft models copied from prototypes cult film “Star Wars”. Therefore, it seems that there is nothing to surprise. However, an unusual starship model called Gankonaor “stubborn” in Japanese, will be of interest to many fans of the themed series.
The Japanese team Jorstad Designs turned into a real model the grandiose idea of their mastermind and artist Ansel Xiao to create huge Mandalorian Teroh-class cruiser. Work on the project lasted no less than two years! Over 17,000 construction “bricks” were used to assemble a huge copy of the galactic ship, which was used in the era of the knights of the old Republic.
According to the plot of the film, the Teroh-class starships got their name from the word Mando’a, which means “ruthless”. It is enough just to see the assembled model to understand that the name corresponds to the abilities of the galactic ship. First, its design, especially in the nose, makes the aircraft ideal for frontal attacks. Secondly, the powerful weapons installed in nine forward-looking gun turrets fully meet the performance of such combat missions.
The tail section of the starship looks like a star due to the round and triangular vents of the engine turbines. The visual effect is enhanced by the fact that they are equipped with blue diodes in the toy that imitate fire – they are turned on using the Power Functions remote control.
A good reflection in the Gankor project was the internal arrangement of the ship. To see the two-level interior, you need to open the upper part of the structure. A detachable section is found here, designed to transport and drop 14 Mandalorian soldiers at the battlefield.
The aircraft has cabins for the crew, rooms for storing military arsenal, as well as a brig consisting of two cells for keeping prisoners. In the starship’s command compartment, we see the ship’s captain’s seat in the center and four separate pilot control stations located around it. In addition to all this, a hangar is equipped in the bow, in which 3 speeders are transported.
And finally, a very curious moment: Japanese designers accompanied their unique project with detailed assembly instructions. That is, theoretically, any fan of Star Wars, if desired, can assemble the same model of a starship, unless, of course, he has the appropriate parts “lying around”.
