Tesla electric pickup set release delayed

The release of a set with a Tesla electric pickup model is delayed

Fans of the Technic series are already accustomed to the fact that the Danish company releases an expensive and high-quality copy of some famous car every 2 years. Of the latest such projects, one can name LEGO Technic construction sets with analogues of iconic supercars 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 42083 Bugatti Chiron and 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.

In the coming 2022, most fans of the line expected to replenish their home collections with a completely unique vehicle model – Tesla’s cybertruck. This car is from the future, because in reality it was supposed to appear only this year. The Lego company planned to coincide with such a historic event with a set 42143 LEGO Technic Tesla Cybertruck. However, it has now become known that the August edition is canceled or postponed indefinitely.

No official explanation has been given as to why the project has been suspended. However, fan blogs have made a very plausible suggestion that Lego’s decision is due to the fact that the American company Tesla announced the postponement of the launch of the latest electric battery-powered pickup truck to 2023. Well, if the release of the designer was originally synchronized with the start of production of a new car, then the reason is more than clear.
