Instagram user lego_fulcrum revealed that minifigure sets featuring two iconic Star Wars characters will be available in 2022. Captain Rex and Commander Cody return to the “world of cubes” after a ten-year break. The last time Captain Rex was seen in the designer from 2011 7869 LEGO Star Wars Battle for Geonosis, according to the plot of which he takes part in the battle of Geonosis. In the same year, Commander Cody was also seen in a set 7959 LEGO Star Wars Geonosian Starfighter.
Of course, this information will please fans of the cult film, because over the past time, fans of the thematic series have joined their ranks, who have not even heard of the existence of these sets.
However, Western bloggers suggest that their return, among other things, will cause a sharp drop in prices for original miniature figures from old sets. Now in the UK, for example, in the secondary market, both figures can be bought for 115.95 pounds in total (approximately 11,412 rubles). This cost is slightly higher than the expected sale of new toys. Therefore, owners of Captain Rex and Commander Cody figures who want to sell them are advised to hurry up before the rumors are officially confirmed.
