LEGO will release a new set in the Avatar series

As it became known, already in October, the Danish company Lego plans to release several designers of the revived Avatar series. Only one of them is known for sure: 75571 LEGO Avatar Neytiri and Thanator vs Quaritch AMP Robot. The medium-sized buildable kit will be the smallest of the standard kits, if you do not take into account the previously released BrickHeadz.
The structure of the new designer includes two miniature figures: Neytiri and Colonel Miles Quarich. On the torso of the main character of the story, light armor is printed, which she puts on during battles with enemies. Most notable for the character will be the return of longer legs. The heroine wears a loincloth around her waist and wears traditional Na’vi paint on her face.
Mile Quaritch is presented in an olive green outfit with a turquoise tank top. In general, he is shown as he appears in the film – with an angry expression on his face, covered with several scars.
For the general composition of prefabricated kits of the series “Avatar”, as a rule, is characteristic of the reflection of the Pandora environment in all adventure scenes. This set will not be an exception. The game location is decorated with a colorful tropical forest.
A fragment with lush green spaces will include three “brick” sections that combine into a single whole. Leaves and branches will turn out very beautiful, and some white artificial jungle flowers will even glow in the dark.
The construction set also features a large figurine of the highest terrestrial predator living in the tropical forests of Pandora – Thanator. The toy is made in dark blue and black colors. An unusual animal has six legs, of which four are front and two are back.
Interestingly, the creators of this figurine had to specially cast the head of the beast, since there were no suitable options from the previous sets. In addition, the image reflects some of the details that are used to establish Neytiri’s neural connection with a formidable creature. In particular, the rubber element on the back of the head.
The next model to build is Quaritch’s enhanced suit. Outwardly, he looks quite decent. The design for the legs of the mech uses a hinged joint, but the knees are motionless. The dimensions of the cabin allow the colonel to stand quietly inside. The controls and HUD, as well as the side parts of the mech and parts of the arms, are displayed using stickers.
One thing will appear in the brick-built mech that differs from what can be seen in the original film: instead of a GAU-90 machine gun with a saw blade protruding from the front, the “brick” version has a weapon in the form of only a long saw blade. And in yellow, which looks rather strange. This innovation of the authors of the project slightly spoiled the overall assessment of the thematic novelty.
Kit 75571 LEGO Avatar Neytiri and Thanator vs Quaritch AMP Robot Includes 560 pieces and 2 minifigures. Price: 44.99 euros.
