Lego will bring together sets for adults in a series of LEGO Icons
From 1 June 2022 Lego begins consolidating sets for adults under the same name LEGO Icons. The company’s specialists are convinced that the innovation will make it easier for customers of the 18+ age category to search for new, exciting designs or models according to their interests and hobbies.
This will be especially convenient when making a purchase of sets or browsing online. The LEGO Badges name includes all adult building sets that are not yet part of Star Wars, Technician, Ideas, Architecture, Jurassic World and more.
Name LEGO Icons used for some time inside the Lego Corporation. It is now planned to be used officially and, presumably from January 1, 2023, such sets will be released with the LEGO Badges logo, replacing the current title of the LEGO Expert Creator series. However, in the Lego online store, such an assortment for adults has been presented under a new classification since the beginning of June.
The need for this innovation has been brewing for a long time. Over the past 2 years, some confusion has indeed arisen in the classification of such sets. This was largely due to the start of the release of special designers for adult fans. Lego. Now it has definitely been decided to collect under a single name all the sets intended for the adult category of construction fans. This means that the relevant building sets from the themes: Star Wars, Technician, Ideas, Architecture, Jurassic World, Cars, Modular Homes, Space, Collection Winter Village” and “Botanical Collection”.
