Game console celebrates 50th anniversary with new Lego set
The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. “Atari”, which in the late 70s and early 80s was heard by all fans of computer games. Information is spreading on social networks that, in honor of this event, the Danish manufacturer will release a constructor 10306 LEGO Atari 50th Anniversary Game Console.
Judging by the indicated price of the novelty – 169.99 euros (13,600 rubles), the set is collectible and its contents are addressed primarily to fans of retro games. However, such a super toy is sure to attract increased attention and inquisitive teenagers. The prefabricated console will showcase a modification of the Atari 2600, which was considered the best video game and for many years ranked first in sales in the world.
The creators of the toy have developed the most accurate copy of the original Atari in terms of external characteristics:
- the model is almost identical to its prototype in size;
- the design is made in the corporate black color with light brown panels;
- at the top of the console, the control sliders are recreated, as well as the window for inserting the cartridge.
Well, the most important thing is that in order to enhance the realism of the legendary game console, a scene from the famous game Pitfall was included in the package, or otherwise “Trap”. So the owner of the model, with the help of the famous CX40 joystick, will be able to help the hero Pitfall Harry, hanging on a liana in a primeval forest, swinging over a pit with crocodiles, escape from inevitable death.
