The designer is placed in a bright branded box with an updated design. The red and black long packaging has a removable “lid” that is bevelled on both sides.
For the first time, the set includes a plate containing technical information about the vehicle.
With 3,778 pieces, the 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 set is one of the largest LEGO supercars released to date. The model was created on a scale of 1:8 to the original, which allowed it to be perfectly detailed and perfectly reflect external elements. For example, discs are reproduced with particular accuracy, and Lego is now developing new parts specifically for this series.
The car can be opened as the rear hood, which hides a running Technic engine, and the front hood.
Also, two butterfly doors open perfectly, the roof folds down. The model has a built-in steering. The interior is no less detailed, including blue seats. There is a working scheme and suspension for all wheels.
The advantages of this model are:

How did the design of the Ferrari kit go?
A huge team was involved in the development of this LEGO product. The set was assembled by a whole group of specialists not only in the creation of prefabricated toys, but also in the real automotive industry. As a result, the team was very pleased with their brainchild. And how the LEGO Ferrari Daytona SP3 will demonstrate its capabilities in the hands of the consumer – time will tell.
Comparison between a LEGO Ferrari Daytona SP3 model and a real Ferrari car
The original Ferrari sports car has repeatedly taken part in various racing competitions and has always won prizes. An example of this is the 24 Hours of Daytona race on February 6, 1967, where Ferrari got the first 3 places. Therefore, for many, he is still an icon of motorsport and a symbol of racing cars of the 1960s. By the way, the real Ferrari has a length of 4.69 m, a width of 2.05 m and a height of 1.14 m, which confirms the indicated scale of the toy 1:8.
The creators of the LEGO Ferrari Daytona SP3 set were originally inspired by the design of the original. The combined model managed to reflect the appearance and technical features of the car.
The prototype has wider rear wheels than the front, but LEGO did not implement this detail. The developers felt that this was unlikely to be noticeable from a normal angle, and gave the LEGO Daytona SP3 a standard wheel size.
They modeled a naturally aspirated V12 engine and replaced the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission in the LEGO Ferrari Daytona SP3 with an 8-speed one.
In custody
Each construction fan has his own attitude towards car model kits. Many of them are simply fascinated by the technical aspects of supercars, performance and design. Just for such users, LEGO creates voluminous 18+ cars from the Technic series. Such sets are in high demand and consumers are ready to buy them even for big money.
As we have already indicated, in this model, LEGO managed to perfectly convey the design of the original and its technical features. Although the car is unlikely to present its owners with interesting surprises in technical terms. But as for the demonstration of the assembled toy and its use as an ornament or an exhibit of a home collection, it will definitely become a worthy sight. In any case, the assembly process of the LEGO Ferrari Daytona SP3 model set will give true connoisseurs an incredible pleasure.
