Nearly 20 years ago, construction fans saw the first sets with action figures of characters from the Canadian film series Galidor. The Danish manufacturer decided to continue the legendary line of Bionicle constructors with them. However, the novelty LEGO «Halidor» was perceived negatively, because outwardly somewhat dull giants did not like the buyers at all.

A large role in the negative perception of the newly-minted dolls was played by their incompatibility with standard Lego sets — both in the form of assembly parts and inconsistency with the original ideas of the Danish company. Since then, only the April Fool’s jokes of Lego designer Mark Stafford, who annually trolls his fans with messages about the relaunch of the scandalous series, have reminded of the failed series.

And now LEGO Galidor has again become a topic of discussion among Western bloggers. They started talking about the actual return of the Halidor series. These thoughts were prompted by a recent announcement about a new episode of Bits N’ Bricks from the third season of the official LEGO Games podcast. Commentators are sure that it is no coincidence that it tells about how the idea of ​​​​an experimental project arose and how the Galidor series was developed by designer Nils Milan Pedersen.
