Manufacturer of constructors Lego decided to start the revival of another of his successful projects of the past — LEGO The Lord of the Rings. In 2012-2013, within this thematic line, the company released a total of 12 designers.

Most of these prefabricated sets have now practically become antique rarities. Moreover, they continue to maintain a huge popularity among collectors. The unique miniature figurines from the sets of the series are in special demand, which are now sold at very high prices on the secondary market.

Judging by the information leaked to the global network, Lego intends to focus on the production of minifigures for the time being. At the same time, it is planned to produce them not in a standard form, but in fundamentally different stylized version LEGO brickheads. So the expected novelties are likely to be an amateur. But you won’t have to wait long for their appearance — 2 sets are planned to be sent to the shelves of company stores in January 2023.

It is assumed that these will be the so-called «double packs» of BrickHeadz:

• prefabricated kit with a minimum number of parts under the number 40630 (price: 14.99 euros) will offer to collect collectible figurines of two characters from The Lord of the Rings — Frodo and Gollum;

• set by number 40631 (Price: €19.99) — Slightly larger minifigures of Gandalf the Gray and Balrog.

Of course, these «square» figures with a large head, chubby body and short limbs cannot expand the composition of any thematic constructor. Because they are originally designed as exhibits for unique home collections.

At the same time, it should be noted that the release of game sets in the Lord of the Rings line, according to bloggers, is not currently planned. However, given the high demand for them from fans, their production will definitely become relevant for the Lego company in the coming years.

For now, a small consolation in this regard is the rumor circulating on the net that next year, there may still be one large set of the LEGO Lord of the Rings series in a standard format. However, only within the framework of the increasingly popular D2C model. With this sales mechanism, the manufacturer himself goes to the client with an offer to buy the goods directly. That is, only selected Lego fans will be able to become owners of the set.

In this regard, we also recall that the first and so far the only major designer in the Lord of the Rings series was and remains a set 10237 LEGO Orthanc Tower (picture below), which was produced by the Danish manufacturer Lego in 2013 and was sold at a price of 200 euros.
