At the end of last year, we already said that LEGOLAND Günzburg (Germany) expands its boundaries with the construction of a new quarter “Ninjago” in the resort village. However, according to reports, this is not the only update in the German Lego amusement park in the near future.

At the beginning of the year on the outskirts of the German “Legoland Günzburg” the laying of a one-of-a-kind construction project with a project cost of more than 15.5 million euros took place. The new location will expand the territory of the amusement park by another 1.2 hectares.

The central building of the last complex will be a large “roller coaster”. According to experts, this is the largest Lego attraction that has never been seen in theme parks all over the world. It is reported that the object will consist of eight sharp turns, and the route is built between the existing attractions “Land of the Pharaohs” and “Royal Castle”.

The main feature of these slides will be that they are designed for a joint pastime of adults and children. The fact is that currently existing in amusement parks LEGOLAND rollercoaster more focused on young children than families. Which, by the way, causes complaints from park visitors.

“We are thrilled to be building the world’s first roller coaster of its kind at LEGOLAND to satisfy our guests’ longstanding desire for an expansion with high levels of action and energy,” says Dirk Bud, Technical Director LEGOLAND in Günzburg. – Already from primary school age, the coaster will be available in our park. So kids can experience their first rollercoaster ride here – along with their older siblings. Thrills for the whole family!

The roller coaster, along with the entire new entertainment complex, is scheduled to open in 2023.

There are no roller coasters like this in any LEGOLAND park in the world.
