LEGO will stop producing 20 more sets

List of Danish brand kits that Lego will cease production in 2023, replenished with 20 more designers. The product cards of these toys on the official website of the online store are supplemented with a corresponding information note: «Soon to be discontinued.»
Among the decommissioned «brick» sets are prefabricated constructors from many popular thematic series. Including perennial favorites such as the popular 71040 Disney Disney Castle set featuring a massive 74cm model and five characters from various animated films. This constructor has become, so to speak, a real long-liver in the «world of cubes», since it has been produced since 2016. Currently, its cost is 309.99 euros.
In general, collectible sets appear in the additional list. For example, designers from the line for creating original paintings from a mosaic called «Art»:
- 31202 LEGO Art Disney Mickey Mouse,
- 21226 LEGO Art Creative Project: Build Together,
- 31201 LEGO Art Harry Potter Hogwarts Coats of Arms.
Two New Year’s sets with oriental flavor will also fall under the write-off: 80109 LEGO Lunar New Year Ice Festival and 80108 LEGO Lunar New Year Traditions. They were put on store shelves as novelties in January 2022.
The most expensive among the 20 designers who are retiring is an exclusive set 75252 LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer. It has been in production since October 2019. Now Star Wars fans have one last chance to become the owner of a unique model of a galactic ship. True, the price even now turns out to be quite “biting”: 699.95 euros.
Most bloggers covering the work of the Lego company are confident that three and a half months before the end of the year, the list of designers being discontinued in 2023 will be replenished more than once. In the meantime, taking into account the new addition, it has more than 350 sets.
