The Danish manufacturer «Lego» presented an original set 21337 LEGO Ideas Table Football, which will go on sale November 1, 2022. It is curious that the company in this case violated its own rules. As has long been known, any author’s project must first be supported by at least 10,000 site visitors. lego ideas, and then a competent jury of designers must select the only model worthy of becoming an official Lego set.

This time, the established procedure was violated by simply accepting an entry from among those proposed by the participants of the We Love Sports contest, which was held in 2021. So the author of the idea, a fan of construction under the nickname Constructions Donatu, turned out to be lucky — his model, unexpectedly for everyone, comes out as an official LEGO constructor.

What is this privilege? Unknown. However, the toy itself is of particular interest.

The owner of the prefabricated kit is invited to build a playing field 41 cm long, 29 cm wide and 15 cm high, as well as two small stands for fans of the red and blue teams.

Compared to the real prototype (see previous image), the desktop version from Lego much smaller in size than a football field and, accordingly, in the number of athletes. Some distortions are also visible in the general form of the implementation of «brick» football. However, in general, the model promises to be a very functional toy.

A significant advantage of the “brick” novelty is that, due to its small size and fewer crossbars, it will be much easier to play this table football, since its compactness ensures that the ball moves very quickly across the field.

The game set includes 22 miniature figures of football players and fans in red and blue t-shirts. At the same time, all minifigures are customizable, that is, they can be given a completely different appearance.

Firstly, for each of them you can choose an original hairstyle — the designers of the designer offer a choice of one of 43 options.

Secondly, it is possible to diversify players and football fans by skin color — you can choose from 44 different faces with quite realistic skin tones.

The way you see the minifigures in the pictures are just versions of the possible design of the images of the characters in the game set. In fact, they don’t have to look exactly like this. For Lego fans, the set provides all the tools and components to custom-create the perfect face or hair style for each miniature figure.

A noteworthy point is that although this set was originally addressed to adult fans of the «world of cubes», the model assembled from its parts does not belong to the collectible category. It is fully functional and allows you to recreate a real sports atmosphere. Because this table football can be played not only by adults, but also by children. Moreover, literally the whole family can join the sports festival — if not as players on the main football field, then as fans sitting in the red and blue stands outside the goal and waving flags. So an exciting family vacation is guaranteed.
