LEGO Fan Domed City Model

Domed cities have long been of interest to the construction fan James Taylor. To be precise, since he first saw them in the cult film Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The ever-increasing interest in these unusual structures accumulated over the years led him to the idea of creating a desktop version of the great city of Sundari. The best thing for this was the usual Lego parts, which he mainly used in dark colors.

The author of the idea coped with the task just perfectly. To be convinced of this, just one glance at the image of a fantastic city is enough. Fans of «Star Wars» in the picture of the cubes will notice a well-known cityscape. Because it recreates the entire exhibit almost exactly as the Mandalorians saw it as they slowly made their way down to the Royal Palace.

To capture the depth of the buildings of the unusual city in detail, James Taylor used various assembly methods, and also used parts lego various sizes and shapes. So, the foreground was built from larger parts. This made it possible to convey the geometric patterns that were characteristic of Mandalorian architecture. Small and shallow building «bricks» along with transparent «window» plates were used in the assembly of remote high-rise buildings.
