Lego fan builds a pirate ship

Would you be able to spend as much as 3 years building just one «brick» model?! Only real fans of the «world of cubes» can accomplish such a feat among construction fans. It was about such an enthusiastic person that the popular Brix Brothers website recently spoke about. More precisely, the thematic portal introduced visitors to his unique pirate ship, for the construction of which a Lego fan named Isaiah Duran gave no less than 36 months of his life.

Unfortunately, how much he spent «bricks» to create such a miracle is not reported. However, one glance at this huge sailboat is enough to understand that a huge number of Lego bricks have been spent. However, in this case, the verbs «used up» and «spent» are not entirely appropriate, since the fan Isaiah Duran actually managed to create something deserving of everyone’s attention and admiration.

The presented medieval ship, named by the author of the model “Pirate’s Horror”, is striking, first of all, with its impressive dimensions. Suffice it to say that the height of the main mast reaches 1 meter 30 centimeters — and this is the average height of a small child! The scale of the ship itself can be judged by the minifigures that are included in the assembly model. Look: the pirates on the deck, in the compartments and holds of the sailboat really look miniature.

When you «go down» down, you suddenly discover another highlight of the «brick» vessel in question — the interior space in the cabins and rooms is equipped with lighting! All this makes the situation inside the sailboat even more realistic.

The large size allowed Isaiah Duran to detail the pirate ship not only from the outside, but also from the inside, recreating full-fledged interiors in them. It is noteworthy that under the upper deck there are two lower levels, where the living cabins, storage and utility rooms are located. All of them are furnished, they have a lot of items and accessories typical of the Middle Ages. It is interesting that in the hold there was even a place for the construction of a paddock in which livestock is transported.

The author of the project, Isaiah Duran, deserves the highest praise and admiration for such a catchy design of the aft part of the robber ship. One can imagine how much strength and patience he gave to the assembly of this extremely complex in execution and ultimately delightful golden ornament.
