The details of the Lego sets have found another interesting use.

Representatives of the Scottish parent group «Clean Air» found an interesting use for parts from Lego constructors. As part of CO2 monitoring in the country’s schools, one of the project enthusiasts suggested using standard plates and multi-colored parts from Lego constructors to design a visual illustration of how COVID-19 is spreading in classrooms.

In such “brick” classrooms, red building materials mark the number of real cases of Covid in a particular classroom. The data is taken from the results of officially confirmed tests. Green circles indicate the number of negative tests, and gray circles indicate either the absence of cases or failure to pass tests.

A petition published in the local press by a group of parents and educators called for CO2 monitoring in all schools in Scotland as the number of cases of COVID-19 in schools continues to rise. It is assumed that the introduction of such control will allow teachers to check whether the ventilation in the classrooms is working well enough. According to experts, the air in the premises should be changed 4-6 times within one hour. Such a move should help prevent the rapid spread of the virus.
