In November, the traditional Build to Give charity campaignthat the LEGO Group has been hosting annually on Christmas Eve since 2017. It is designed to help bring the joy of playing with Lego to children in need.
Based on the results of past actions, it is clear that it is rapidly expanding its borders. So, if in 2018, thanks to this event, Lego designers received 500 thousand children for free, in 2020 their number increased to 1 million! And now the organizers of the charity campaign intend to support about 1.5 million boys and girls with play sets.
The Danish company encourages all construction enthusiasts to take part in the action. Nothing special is required for this, and participants do not bear any financial costs. They are only required to assemble any star from Lego blocks — small, large or unusual, say, as a decoration for a Christmas tree. Then take a picture of your design creation and share it on social media or LEGO Life using the hashtag ##BuildToGive.
And that’s all there is to it. The rest of the action will be taken over by the Danish manufacturer. The company will «turn» each published photo into sets that Lego will send to charitable organizations to give to needy children in hospitals, orphanages, etc.
