5 Lego Awards for Toy of the Year

This year, the Toy Association has selected nominees for the 2022 annual Toy of the Year Awards for the second time. In this way, toy manufacturers who have been nominated for the prestigious TOTY Awards have an additional opportunity to promote their new products to the European market on a larger scale.
The Danish company «Lego», a regular participant and winner of the international competition, at the beginning of the year received 8 awards for original designers. Now 5 more awards have been added to them. We decided to talk about which designers and in which nominations were awarded this time.
«COLLECTIBLE TOY OF THE YEAR»
Among the nominees for the award is a set 71033 LEGO Dolls Collectible Minifigures, featuring 12 iconic Disney characters. Among them are Kermit the frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and Glass.
These collectible minifigures are limited edition. They attract with their bright appearance and high detail. Also included are the accompanying fun accessories.
BUILDING TOY OF THE YEAR
Here the jury awarded the set 76217 LEGO Marvel I’m Groot with the iconic Marvel character. The designer allows you to assemble a 26 cm figure of the charming alien Groot.

«TOY OF THE YEAR FOR ADULTS»

The model turns out to be quite impressive in size: length — 65 cm, width — 27 cm, height — 13 cm. Plus, the chic appearance and excellent detailing of the toy.
Summing up the results of the second TOTY Awards, most observers of the event noted that the two-time holding of the Toy of the Year competition made it possible for toy manufacturers to present more new products. Therefore, everyone hopes that the Toy Association will make this format of the competition permanent.
