The network has spread information that the designer announced for August-September 10497 LEGO Galaxy Explorer, will be a surprise. Recall that this set, produced in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Danish company, is a reissue of the modular model of the spaceship. It was first released by Lego in 1979.

Earlier it was already reported that the creators of the toy will offer the owners of the kit to build an enlarged version of the iconic starship from 1254 parts. Moreover, in the classic colors of light gray, blue and transparent yellow. The set also includes 4 astronaut minifigures (2 in red, 2 in white).

Now some bloggers claim that the «brick» kit will provide an opportunity to assemble not only the classic version of the spaceship, but to choose one of the three proposed options. That is, the authors of the project initially provided for the construction of two more alternative models. Assembly instructions must appear digitally before sales start.

Fans of the design of the older generations, of course, this news will please. They remember well that the big «Galaxy Explorer» from the old set of 1979, number 928, there were indeed «twin brothers» of smaller sizes. All of them came out in constructors under the article numbers 924 and 918. Therefore, the idea of ​​reissuing them along with the main starship is quite justified.

It may be somewhat upsetting only that each alternative model is assembled as a separate toy. It will not work to build and demonstrate both versions of spacecraft at the same time. First of all, because the same iconic details are used in their assembly, for example, the Classic Space logo and control nozzles.
